Instructions String your nylon cord onto the beading needle. Double the thread and tie a kot at the end. Soak the knot in super glue. When the glue is dry cut the ends of the cord off at the base of the knot. String one of the bead tips and close it with flat nose jewelry pliers. Begin stringing the beads in this order: green bicone, clear bicone, green bicone, jade bead After stringing the beads the necklace should be about 14 inches long. You will now want to place knots between the beads using the tri-cord knotter. This will increase the length of the necklace to about 18 inches. If you do not want to use the tri-cord knotter, you may want to add the knots as you string the beads, depending on the method that you use. If you will be omitting the knots, then you will have to add more repeats of the pattern at the beginning and end of the necklace to increase the total length of the necklace, as desired.Finish the necklace by stringing the second bead tip and securing it with a knot. Form the knot around a beading awl to snug the bead tip up against the last bead. Glue the knot and cut off the ends of the thread. Add the jump rings and the clasp. |
